Item Description
7/8" with W&H backpaper. After the Democratic Party nominated Bryan in 1896 the Populist Party decided to also put him at the head of their ticket as the presidential nominee. However they reserved the vice-presidential slot for one of the leading individuals within their own party, Tom Watson, from Georgia. Just right of Bryan's forehead is 1/8" black line which is in the celluloid as made. Everything else about the button is essentially Mint. Unlisted in Hake.
