Item Description
One of the very few lapel studs made larger than 7/8". This piece has a celluloid covered front with a large gray tin reverse to which the smaller stud is attached. There is no maker's name. Text on the front includes a flag inscribed "16 To 1" surrounded by the dates and slogans "Free Silver/1776-1896/Free People." In very tiny text is "Copyright Y.O. Saunders, 1896." Some exceedingly faint age marks on the cream background but barely showing. Full gloss. An unlisted rarity.
