Auction #203 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1428 in auction 203
Item Description
This piece is 4.75" tall consisting of three brass frames each 1" in diameter joined by loops and links to form a watch fob with the upper segment having a hinged fastener to slip over a pocket watch loop. The top segment depicts an American flag although visually about the only thing still remaining is a light blue area for the stars plus red stripes. The outline of the flag has largely faded. The center segment has incredibly detailed scene of the US Capitol with tiny figures in the foreground. The bottom frame holds real photo without dot pattern sepia jugate photos with their names below although due to the style of manufacturer the first several letters of Roosevelt's name and final few letters of Fairbank's name are cut off. In addition there is a tiny surface cut line about 1/16" long at the far left of TR's image. A very elaborate and rare unlisted item. Only example known to us.
