Item Description
Hake #71. 1.25" superb multicolor of TR seated on horseback and saluting with American flag flying over a hill in the background captioned "San Juan." Bottom edge has tiny copyright text of Detroit designer "Charles K. Kohn." Button has its backpaper naming W&H as the maker and with additional text "Send Orders To National Campaign Button Co., Detroit, Mich." The front design is shifted just a trifle to the left but all text remains easily readable around the rim. There is a shallow 1/16" indent on the green area at the center right and just the slighted trace of some tan tone around the last three letters of his name but no actual spotting. The lower right has pair of virtual hairline air streaks showing only in certain light angles and in most cases not at all. Extremely Fine with intense unfaded color and full gloss. Item carries a Hake's 2004 Revised Price guide value of $957.
