Item Description
It took Batman less than a year to get his own solo title. Batman made his debut in Detective #27 (May, 1939) and was a hit. For the first five issues, the Batman solo title was published quarterly. This blazing red cover features Batman and Robin having a little fun at the expense of an unfortunate criminal. Their grins reveal how much they enjoy their jobs. This issue includes the second appearance of the Joker and the Catwoman. There is also art by Bob Kane. The pages are off-white to white. The book is CGC-certified 6.5 (FN+). CGC lists the restoration as apparent and moderate professional. Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, spine/centerfold reinforced.
