Three distinct series of baseball cards were issued in 1967 for sale exclusively in Venezuela, consecutively numbered. Cards #139-188 featured former Major League stars that had retired, hence the name "Ritirado", the Spanish word for "Retired." Cards are about 2.25x3.25". Fronts feature sepia-tone photgraphs set against blue bkg. Card backs include player bio/stats in Spanish. A virtual who's who of Big League Stars and Hall Of Famers are represented in this set.
