Item Description
The first piece is on a fancy brass link chain and consists of a brass outer circle 1.5" dia. This has a clear plastic cover over three die-cut brass "K" letters flanking and with one over top of an engraved silver luster cross which has a red accent. The upper center "K" has stamped inscription "1961 Miss." with the letters "S" printed backwards. The back of this piece has a gray cardboard covering. The second item consists of a heavy brass link chain suspending an incredibly ornate 2.5" wide by 4.5" tall cast metal piece in a brass finish with a large rectangular center section simulating jade. This includes a spread-wing eagle above the individual die-cut letters "KKK." Each of these letters has a stamped inscription with the first reading "Member KKK" the second dated "1961" and third reading "Imp. Wiz. Miss. 35." Again the "S" letters are stamped backwards. The "35" may refer to a particular organization's numerical designation. Both pieces are in essentially Mint condition. Also see item #148 a set of three lithograph prints by the famous artist Ben Shahn depicting the 1965 civil rights workers murdered by Klan members.
