Item Description
The post cards are 3x5" and consist of two examples of card #8 at the Jamestown Fair. One has thin layer of surface paper missing from the reverse over about 50% of its center area although the card remains remarkably clean on the front. The second card has penciled name and address on the card but no cancellation. This card has sharp corners as does the previous. The third card is "No.9" showing the bears with a young black farmer holding a hoe as well as peanuts in one hand. Card is unused although small bit of color off upper right corner tip and small crease line on upper left tip but no paper loss. Next comes the "Cracker Jack Riddles" booklet. 2.75x5". 32 pages with back cover showing the huge building titled "The Home of Cracker Jack." Very light cover aging but still VF. Next is paper envelope "13" holding "Heart Puzzle." Envelope has some dark spotting and couple of small tears but is largely intact. The metal puzzle has a little oxidation along one edge on each side. Last are three puzzle cards with number 4 "Famous Square Puzzle", number 8 "State Puzzle" and number 11 "Geographical Puzzle." These are each 2.75x4.75" with perforations as made between the sections. Number 8 has had the sections lightly folded but the other two seem to be never folded and as issued. All three are quite clean.
