This book features the first appearance of Elfquest by Wendy Pini with story by Richard Pini. Issue also includes six page “Doorway To The Gods” story by Dave Sim and one page ad by M. W. Kaluta for Michigan Bookstore. Second title is “Warp Graphics Elfquest” #1 ©1978 published by the Pini’s themselves. Issue is 8.25x10.75" with slick paper covers including nice front and back cover paintings by Wendy Pini and 32 bw newsprint pages which are similar to the previous issue but do not have Dave Sim story or Kaluta ad. Front cover has some dust soil, otherwise both issues are Fine overall. Pair of art portfolios are each published by Schanes & Schanes ©1980. First is 9 1/8x12.25" with full color cover and inside front cover noting this is #1461 of 2,000 copies signed in ink by Wendy Pini and containing eight glossy stiff paper color plates with paintings by Pini. Covers have some lt. creasing. Fine. Prints are Exc. Second portfolio is 11.75x16" containing six stiff paper bw plates with plate #1 signed “Wendy Pini 1100/1500". Trace of lt. cover dust soil. Exc.
