Superb quality book is 9.75x13.25x1.25" thick and from a numbered edition of just 5,000 copies printed in 1981 by Celestial Arts. This is the first edition hardcover individually numbered "4425." 376 pages on high quality 100# sterling litho gloss paper. Book features a nice selection of full color Uncle Scrooge reprint stories written and drawn by Carl Barks. Additional material includes a detailed Uncle Scrooge checklist of his Dell, Gold Key and Whitman comic book appearances. Book has a leather cover with printing in gold and a hand-onlayed color plate reproducing Barks "McDuck Of Duckburg" painting. The lithograph "Wonderers Of Wonderland" was only issued with this book and has the matching edition number "2831/5000" along with Carl Barks' signature in pencil. Lithograph is printed on archival quality paper, 8.5x11". Litho is inside of the book which remains sealed as issued. There are splits to the cellophane but still sealed as issued and rarely found as such. A truly Mint copy. Also included is the original shipping carton from Celestial Arts which is Fine. This was the first high end Barks reprint book and to this day remains one of the nicest.
