Item Description
25.75x31" quality frame contains limited edition lithograph that has been professionally matted to 17x22.25". Stunning art of risque nature by Disney Legend and Donald Duck artist Carl Barks that shows an aged and daffy-looking Xerxes seated amidst a harem of eight bejeweled and buxom duck beauties, two of which are bare-breasted. A large fez-wearing duck fans Xerxes. Printed by Jeffries Banknote Company and ©1980 Carl Barks. From a series of prints by Barks that feature "Famous Figures Of History As They Might Have Looked Had Their Genes Gotten Mixed With Waterfowl." From a limited edition of 250 produced prior to the destruction of the printing plates. Marked 48/250 REM. This example has been remarqued by Barks (meaning Barks himself added an original art drawing) which is a 1.25x1.5" detailed original pencil sketch showing profile portrait of glamorous female duck w/"I Have Feathers. Don't Ask Me Where" text. Barks has signed in pencil at bottom right. Comes w/original issue COA. NM and ready for display. Despite being part of a limited edition of 250, this piece is scarce, as less than a dozen examples were remarqued by Barks.
