Item Description
1.5" with covered back and bar pin and name of maker Cruver on the curl. This was issued in Wisconsin for a scrap drive titled "Scrap For Victory." The wearer of the button was designated "Collector." Center text reads "Gov. Heil's MacArthur Week." Cello has about a half dozen fairly long but very light scratches mostly not over his portrait but in any case just showing a bit in reflected light. With normal viewing the piece displays glossy and Mint. Among the rarest MacArthur buttons and issued sometime between 1941 and 1943 while Gov. Heil was in office. Our example in Auction 200 exceeded $500.
