Item Description
7/8" with just a small age mark on far right edge. This is the earliest version and first ever circus promotional button having a Whitehead & Hoag backpaper used only in 1896. The same design is also known with a backpaper of a different design used 1900-1912. The button pictures both men and reads "The Great Barnum Bailey Show." This earliest version is rare.
