Item Description
The brass ring with adjustable bands has lost its luster but has nice clean muted brass finish. Three propeller blades are shown on each side while the top has an aerial view of Clipper airplane in flight. The first Clipper flight occurred Nov., 1935 and was considered such a remarkable advance in aviation technology that a 1936 movie starring Pat O'Brien was released detailing the account of the initial flight and comparing the accomplishment to that of Lindbergh. The club was promoted by Quaker in Sunday newspaper ads in conjunction with the movie. With this ring comes a 2" bar pin with wing design flanking a circular area showing an aerial view of the plane and matching the design on ring. The bar pin has Extremely Fine luster. Pair.
