Item Description
The Terry ring came from Quaker cereals, sponsor of the radio show in 1947. There is a 1947 episode which begins with Terry speaking of his long search for this ring. The ring has adjustable bands with small images of dragons. Ring top has tube with brass band featuring skull and cross bone design. This aluminum tube has red plastic end caps and when held to the light the interior shows dark irregular shapes representing gold ore against a frosty background. Small bit of silver luster off the aluminum tube but vast majority of brass luster remains on the ring base. The interior view is about as nice as these come. Second is an aluminum ring with adjustable bands featuring Chinese characters on the ring top. This is the novelty company Johnson Smith & Co. version of the ring with the symbols on it representing health, happiness, prosperity and prolonged life. This is c. 1930s and in Exc. condition. Pair.
