Item Description
22x22” uncut sheet of four first and only printing stiff paper posters for St. Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1968 concert at the Carousel Ballroom that featured The Grateful Dead, Country Joe & The Fish with lights by Light Sound Dimension (LSD). Neat Valentine’s Day-theme design by Stanley Mouse features old-time Valentine card design with hearts around borders, flying cupid by vintage photo of a man encircled in a heart. Tiny text at bottom of poster reads “Stick To Weed It’s Safe.” Sheet has been folded once vertically with some pinch creases along fold. Trace of corner tip wear. Appearance remains bright, clean and Exc. Individual posters are scarce, our last selling for $633. Only a few of these uncut sheets are known and at auction have sold in excess of $3,000. A true Dead rarity and a stunning piece to frame.
