Item Description
10.5x14" vol. 19 #13 issue for Sept. 24, 1945 with 140 pages has wonderful cover photo of James Stewart in uniform on top of the Savings and Trust Company bank in his hometown of Indiana, PA with courthouse-city hall in bkg. which includes "V" symbol and sign with text "Welcome Jim". Upper left has bold fiber-tip marker signature "Best Wishes, James Stewart". Photo is titled "Colonel Jimmy Stewart". Issue includes 4-page photo article on Stewart's homecoming after flying a record of 20 combat missions. Issue also includes article on artist Salvador Dali, the Incas and commentary on Pearl Harbor. Issue has lt. handling creases and trace of lt. rippling here and there. Lower right side of front cover edge is a bit worn. Magazine overall VG but signature is bold and Exc. A rarely seen James Stewart signed item. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
