He liked to use American comic character toys in some of his pieces which likely lead him to become friends with toy collector Ward Kimball. Trova also used Mickey image in two works done in 1968- A Mickey Mouse 40th birthday sculpture done in sterling and enamel and a print "Mickey Mouse World." His work is in the Guggenheim Museum and The Museum of Modern Art in New York City as well as the Pace Gallery. Extremely interesting group from one great artist to another.
