When I published the first color reference book on campaign items in 1974, I had 100 copies converted from soft cover to hard cover. I signed and numbered each. On the second blank page I wrote: "Ted Hake/Book 35 Of An Edition Of 100." This example has the original fabric cover mounted to new hard cover board and with restored binding so the pages are tight. About 20% of the gold color used for stamping the title has worn off, otherwise binding is a good as new and contents are essentially Mint. The book is 8.5x11". 256 pages. Contents include campaign history, technical facts and statistics, full color illustrations of 4,000 pin-back buttons and similar small items for candidates McKinley through 1972 including section devoted to Third Party candidates. The black and white reprint is available but this all color hard cover is rare and the soft cover edition of 15,000 has long been sold out.
