Item Description
8x10". Typed caption attached to back explains "Carol Caselli, Four, Is Much Too Young To Be Concerned About Political Affiliations So She Was Willing To Pose Wearing Buttons Representing Most Of The Announced Candidates. 5-28-48 Credit Line (Acme)/Acme Roto Service For Immediate Release." Photo is also back stamped "Jun 13 1948." Candidates represented include: Tom Dewey, Henry Wallace, Ike, Robert Taft, General MacArthur, Stassen also "Vote Independent/Vote Republican." Interesting to note the "Draft Eisenhower Movement" and "Eisenhower For President 1948." There are no "I Like Ike" buttons as that slogan was not used until 1952. An interesting and cute photo. Exc.
