Item Description
Lot consists of news article "Queen Has Day At Game" by York, PA. newsman Harry McLaughlin plus a smaller 5x7" color photo and larger 8x10" same image color photo taken on the field at Orioles Memorial Stadium May 15, 1991. Photo shows Bush waving, Queen Elizabeth smiling and back view of Mrs. Bush. Photos have Harry McLaughlin's notes and address stickers on reverse. On large photo he sent to President Bush he instructed: "Mr. President Please Sign And Return. I Took The Photograph. No Machine Signature." Bush complied and signed photo in bold black marker but seemingly after a year passed as he references the newly opened (April 1992) stadium and wrote "To: Harry McLaughlin/On A Great Day At Camden Yards With Best Wishes/George Bush."
