Item Description
6x11.5", 1.25" deep. Interesting design incorporating actual frying pan marked "Pat-Acme Nov. 76." on embossed handle. Text "Pan American/Buffalo 1901" appears around clock face. Running buffalo graphic appears at upper center. Face has numerous small areas missing gloss with matte finish, blends well and barely noticeable at arms length. Bottom edge of clock face has very minor and narrow 2" long bend creating very narrow gap of only 1/16" between the clock face and rim of the pan. This doesn't show at all when clock is viewed from the front. The hour and minute hands are on a vertical post and can be bumped loose, but once they are pressed firmly in place the wind-up clock works and keeps time. Only example of this design known to Fred Lavin, author of "Panorama of the Pan-Am" reference book. VF.
