Item Description
This unusual piece is the example used for the photo in Hake Political Buttons Book III item #3101. The piece is 1-5/16" tall with a high relief brass frame designed as a wreath. Recessed at the center is a sepia cardboard photo. Photo has just a speck or two of missing surface paper and a pinpoint hole on his cheek although so tiny as to be near invisible without magnification. The piece is Extremely Fine and displays NM. Reverse is an oval brass plate with soldered vertical stickpin. Only example we've seen. Rare.
