Auction #204 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1446 in auction 204
Item Description
Each is 11/16" (18mm) with a brass rim and brass lapel stud reverse. The name of each man appears above his head. The emulsion on both pieces is rather uneven but yet the images remain quite complete. On the Greeley most emulsion loss is around the extreme outer edge plus a little off that obscures the last two letters of his name. On the Brown ferro a good bit of the emulsion is off the upper left and this removes the first two letters of his name. The remaining loss is mostly at the lower right so that his portrait still remains quite complete. This pair are listed as Hake #3029 and #3030 with a 2004 Revised Price value of $850.00 for the pair. While condition of this pair is less than fine they are still VG and with visible images. A modest opening bid considering the rarity.
