Like the previous item, this is a rare ribbon badge unlisted in Hake. The piece is 5" tall with gold on blue fabric ribbon suspended from mint brass luster bar pin and joined to a very highly double sided domed celluloid with jugate portraits on the front and a pair of full color crisscrossed American flags on the reverse. A bit of cord plus rwb ribbon accent joins the celluloid to the ribbon. Ribbon reads "P.P.P. And Gold Standard 1896." The initials almost certainly represent the campaign slogan Protection, Prosperity, Patriotism. The last letter "P" has tiny age mark showing very little and the blue fabric has four vertical stress lines with very slight separation of the fabric but barely showing unless held to the light. The celluloid suspension is essentially Mint. Still displays extremely Fine. First we've offered.
