This rare jugate was unknown to us until it appeared in Anderson auction #160 with an opening bid of $800 along with their question of "Do You Know Of Another Example?" Here is another example and it displays extremely well although with very slight brown toning around the outer perimeter. The design features illustrated portraits of the candidates all enclosed in a wreath design and at top center is a small gold representation of a gold coin. Reverse has a couple of tiny cello splits along the metal backing but celluloid lays perfectly flat and causes no problem. Celluloid still has full gloss and color. Considering the rarity of this little gem a modest opening bid.
