Item Description
1.75" tall of silvered brass with stamp of maker on reverse Bastian Bros. Front has outer edge in a ribbon-like design with interior picturing the Liberty Bell surrounded by a wreath. Outer edge reads "1912 N.A.W.S.A. 44th Annual Convention Phila 1912." Central text reads "Proclaim Liberty Through Out All The Land Unto All The Inhabitants Thereof." Front probably had a little more silver than remaining now but no real damage. Complete with slightly worn original black leather strap. This group was the largest and most important Suffrage association in the United States. At the time this fob was issued Anna Howard Shaw was president. After success in 1920 the group became known as League of Women Voters. See next equally rare fob as well as women in World War I button lots #885 and #887.
