Item Description
1.75". In May 1969 Black Panther Party founder and national chairman Bobby Seale spoke at Yale University. The next day Alex Rackley, a New York Black Panther who had come under suspicion of being an informer was killed and his body was dumped into the Coginchaug River. Seale, Ericka Huggins, and nine local New Haven area Black Panthers were subsequently tried for the murder. The trial of the local defendants became known as the "New Haven Nine" which was a reference to the famous Chicago Seven trial. We've seen one other version of this button in black and day-glo blue which realized $144 in Auction #174. NM and displays Mint.
