Auction #204 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1446 in auction 204
Item Description
7/8" with covered tin back and vertical bar pin. No maker. A huge woman dwarfs the bicycle she rides upon. She is depicted from the back. She wears a hat with her hair pulled into a bun. She has a blouse with ballooning sleeves. As she pedals along her skirt is working its way downward revealing a small portion of her 'butt crack.' Obviously issued as comment on the bicycling craze of the 1896 era. Exc. and the only example we've seen.
