Item Description
3.5" very well made button with brass luster metal reverse and large bar pin. Button was likely designed for use either by delivery drivers or newsstand sales men. This was a tabloid newspaper published by Bernarr Macfadden. This newspaper was known to embody tabloid journalism in its publication years of 1924 to 1932. It launched the careers of both Walter Winchell and sports writer (later TV host) Ed Sullivan. Critics of the time dubbed the newspaper "pornoGraphic." A fascinating history of this publication appears on Wikipedia. Trivial age traces. Exc. and only one we've seen.
