Item Description
These badges, all with brass fringe tassels, measure between 9" and 10" tall. Four have a beautifully colored illustrated celluloid bar hanger and the fifth reads "Washington Camp No.654." Three of the pieces have a celluloid suspension on an extra piece of fabric all three of which have extra accent of crossed American flags. The other two pieces have brass luster suspensions, each with a choice color celluloid center. The ribbons have either gold or silver text at bottom naming the "Washington Camp" number, along with the initials of the group, and the location of that particular organization. These five are all from Pennsylvania towns and include Nazareth, Philadelphia, Waverly, Bloserville, and Mt. Carmel. In our photo the second item has some fade of the blue color stripe but otherwise condition on all of these is Exc. to Mint. The reverse of each has an additional ribbon in silver and black to be used when the members were attending a funeral of a deceased member. Four of these celluloids have wonderful color depiction of Washington kneeling and praying during his hard winter at Valley Forge. The fifth is a portrait of him wearing red jacket. Wonderful color and condition. See previous and following item.
