Item Description
Smallest item in this collection are a couple of 11/16" transportation tokens. Largest celluloid item is 2-1/8" pocket mirror from "Red Wing Milling Co." This has a few small age marks. The 1915 ribbon with mortar and pestle design is 5" tall. More or less top to bottom and left to right there are three buttons for Elks carnival in 1900. There is a rare 1.25" inscribed "Guest Of Hamm's Brewery, St. Paul, 1896." This has American flag held by collet on the top edge. Next is a very well made highly detailed metal and enamel badge reading "St. Paul Minn/Snowshoe Club." Next are three brass tokens inscribed Grote's Tivoli/Good For 5¢ In Trade. Next is one for 1900 festival. There is a 1.25" for Ethan Allen flour. Two colorful buttons relate to Modern Woodmen of the World and there is a fabulous real photo button showing these lodge members all lined up on the steps of a building with a banner at front center inscribed "Arlington Camp No. 5453/MWA/St. Paul." There is a cello flag stickpin from the "Minnehaha Dry Cleaning" company. There is a Minnesota University 1925 homecoming button. There is a second pocket mirror promoting "Norden Club Rye Whiskey." This has oxidation on reverse collet but no stain. There are a couple of more recent buttons for the "Nash-Finch Co" and a plastic badge from the 1947 Aquatennial. Vast majority of items are Exc. to Mint condition. All but a couple specify St. Paul.
