Item Description
c.1960s. 12.75x14.5" oversized hard cover portfolio style presentation binder has acetate sleeves holding ten original art mockups for proposed Crackerjack prize premium series. Each is 4 7/8x7" thin art-board with 4x6" image area with art in ink and watercolor with most text done in press type. First sheet has art of freckle faced boy proudly showing girl his “Jr. Motion Pictures” business card which would be front of business card while second image has cut-out in applied foil wrapper from actual Crackerjack box applied to center of sheet for potential use as reverse side of card. Remaining eight examples are from either “Jr. Motion Pictures Inc.” series or “Jr. Big Top Circus” series and all have original art paste-ons at top. Also included are ten sheets, each listing 16 card titles of different series possibilities including: Television productions, steamship lines, athletic association, railroad corporation, city government, space administration, medical association. All items are glued to black paper insert sheets as designed for presentation otherwise are all Exc./NM. Nicely designed and an interesting concept. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold, accompanied by a letter to that effect from Gordon Gold.
