Item Description
26.75x40.5" for feature film released by DCA. Noted disc jockey Alan Freed is referred to as “The King Of Rock ‘N Roll!” and the film co-starred Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, La Vern Baker and Chuck Berry and introduced Tuesday Weld who is shown on the poster getting her first screen kiss from Teddy Randazzo. Photo images include Chuck Berry doing his duck walk and playing guitar, the Frankie Lymon group, and kids dancing including one show plenty of leg while wearing high heels. Text includes “21 New Song Hits” and list of performers includes Johnny Burnette Trio, The Moonglows, and Connie Francis. Poster has several folds as issued with dust soil and pinholes in margins and corners. Reverse side has several strips of paper reinforcement tape. A few hairline color rubs along fold intersections and a few lt. moisture marks but overall most of image will mat and frame to VG appearance. An early and historic rock ‘n roll item.
