Item Description
Lot of two based on the 1937 short about a little Indian boy who wants to be a mighty warrior. At one time, Walt Disney considered making a Hiawatha feature film, but the story never satisfied him so the idea was shelved. First is 9.25x10.5" hardcover w/dust jacket by David McKay ©1937. 24 pages w/large full color story art on every page (see original art lot for this book, item #2213). DJ is unclipped and flaps include ads for other Disney books w/images of Country Cousin and the cover to "The Adventures Of Mickey Mouse." Small trace of edge wear. DJ VF/Exc. Book has minor trace of edge wear. Exc./NM. Scarce, especially in the condition and w/DJ. Second is Whitman linen-like book No. 924 w/eight pages. ©1938. Some cover aging but a clean and VF copy overall.
