Large, highly detailed and very impressive sculpture atop solid wood base with overall size of 8x9x8" tall. Only 100 were produced in this edition, as well as just 8 Artist Proofs. This has hand etched edition number on back of base "A/P 7/8." Titled "Give A Little Whistle" the artist was Disney Legend Ollie Johnston and sculptor Bruce Lau, all of this noted in raised lettering on the back of the base. Incredible depiction of a seated Pinocchio with Jiminy Cricket sitting in front of him on a matchbox. Painted black accents on Pinocchio's hair and JC's jacket really enhance the overall appearance. Front of wood base has metal plaque reading "Signature Series/The Art Of Disney-Ollie Johnston" and Ollie has signed this in gold ink. Also includes a small caricature portrait of him. Produced c. 2000. Tiny bit of wear at corners of wood base but all else Mint as made. A truly exceptional bronze further enhanced by being an AP. It is also from the Collection of Disney Legend Ralph Kent and his wife Linda (see items #2177-2183 and #2421).
