Item Description
From same set as item #1248. This card is from the Almendares Scorpions subset. Almeida played third base for the Cincinnati Reds from 1910-1913. Almeida along with Armando Marsans debuted together with the Reds on July 4, 1911. Six years before Cincinnati, Almeida and Marsans both played in the United States as 1905 members of the integrated All Cubans. Almeida was elected to the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame in its 1939 inaugural class. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
