Item Description
16x20" paper sign c. 1947. Has the same design on each side and the two halves have not been separated along top dotted line so it could be used as a string sign so that both sides could be viewed. Advertises the series of small bw photos that were packaged in Kellogg's Pep cereal boxes. Photo examples on this sign include Humphrey Bogart, William Elliott, Fred MacMurray, Barbara Stanwyck, other movie stars as well as sports stars such as White Sox pitcher Orval Grove and Middleweight Champion Tony Zale. Includes illustration of opened cereal box in which the pictures are coming out of it and at one corner is illustration of the "Photo Album" that was issued to hold the photos. Lt. aging more on one side than the other but overall appearance is bright and clean w/vibrant color. Exc.
