Item Description
This lot has Dixie pictures for three consecutive issues, 1934-36. The first Dixie picture series was issued in 1933. For 1934 the pictures were issued w/two separate sheets, 9x11". One is the portrait image and the other has bio and film scenes. Both have blank backs. This includes three scenes from "King Of The Jungle" the Tarzan-inspired Paramount film that predated his actual role as Tarzan in the 1933 film "Tarzan The Fearless." Lt. margin wear/aging. VF. Next is 1935 picture, also 9x11". Great image of him as Flash Gordon from the first Universal serial w/five film scenes on back. NM. Final picture, for 1936, is 8x10". Front/back again features him as Flash. Extra pair of holes on left margin. Lt. aging to reverse, corner tip wear. VF. See Buster Crabbe signed club card item #2535.
