Item Description
3.5x7-5/8". "AZO" real photo postcard. Front has numerous creases and small blue mark at his shoulder. Reverse has minor soil/tanning and pencil notation "Frank Little I WW Man Killed In Montana." On Aug. 1, 1917 IWW labor organizer was taken from his boarding house in Butte and lynched from a railroad trestle. Little had been organizing workers for a strike against Anaconda Copper Company but it was likely his stand against World War I that infuriated his assassins. He argued workers should refuse to fight on behalf of capitalist oppressors. In his last speech he said "I Stand For The Solidarity Of Labor." VG.
