50 sheets, each 8.5x11" have clean and tight lead pencil preliminary art for Funny Business cartoon panel complete with hand lettered captions and Hershberger signatures. c. late 1940-1950s. Many have penciled check marks as approved by syndicate for publication. Most have hairline vertical creases as mailed, otherwise most are Fine/VF. Funny and well drawn. Comes with 8-3/8x11" softcover with 24 pages promoting Hershbergers "National School of Cartooning" in Cleveland, Ohio. Copyright 1965. Book contains numerous reprints of Hershberger's art including politicals, comic strips, and panel cartoons including "Funny Business". Front cover has nice art of Uncle Sam smoking cigar and back cover has message from Hershberger. Back cover is lightly tanned, otherwise issue is Fine/VF. Interesting group from an excellent cartoonist.
