Item Description
All are c. early 1900s. Each is approx. 3-3/8x5-3/8". Includes wild man standing next to 8 feet 6 inch black giant at carnival in Wisconsin, "Oriental Vaudeville" troupe performing in front of tent, two different fat ladies, tall man dressed as Uncle Sam standing next to short man wearing costume with star and holding bat, card autographed "With Best Wishes From H. Sados" in ink showing him standing in front of posters including large banner with his name on it, and troupe of six dancer-types with person standing in center who appears to be a female cross-dresser. Publishers include Munger, Velox, Azo. Fat lady card showing her with her legs crossed has mounting traces on reverse side from scrapbook removal, wild man with black giant card is missing .5" piece at lower right corner tip and has ink text describing them both on front. Overall group is VG/Fine. Interesting back lot shots of performers, none of which are postally used. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
