Item Description
3.5x5-3/8" card #3983E from Rotary Photographic Series printed in England. c. 1920. Card is titled "Baseball Pitcher, Catcher & Batter" and has a total of 22 different images of players with titles. Includes pitcher, a left-handed batter, a fair strike, catcher throwing to third, a hit to left, trying for third base, safe at third, a hot liner. Lower left has photographer Reinhold Thiele copyright. Tiny bit of wear around edges with a few lt. handling creases just visible in reflected light. Unused, glossy and Fine. Interesting take on the great American past time which never quite caught on in Great Britain. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
