Standups have both vertical and horizontal perforated borders and main characters include Dick Tracy, Nancy, Joe Palooka, Annie & Sandy, Walt & Skeezix, Steve Canyon, Li'l Abner, Alley Oop, Smokey Stover, Andy Gump, Smitty, Denny Dimwit, others. Each has character and artist name along w/respective copyright, designed to punch out and stand up separately. Foreground has text promoting "45,000,000 Regular Readers Of Metro Sunday Comics." Back has promotional text including list of 43 top Sunday newspapers in various cities. The topmost horizontal perforation seam is loose and other vertical seams have a few inches of loose perforations at left and right. Instructions say to fold back side tabs so characters will stand erect but none of these vertical perforations have been perforated. With the front propped up, the open display is very attractive w/both rows of characters partially diecut. Slightest aging but choice condition. File copy is Exc/NM example with bright color and dynamic design. Rare and only the second example we've seen in our 46 years and in superior condition to the other example we sold.
