Item Description
1.25" full color depicts long-horned steer with three white branding symbols on his side. Also reads "Presidential Roundup Nov. 8, 1904." Complete with correct backpaper telling how to order additional buttons from a Kansas City jobber. Button was actually made by Whitehead & Hoag whose address appears in tiny text along the lower edge of the backpaper. The brand designs on the side of the steer refer to his 1880s North Dakota ranches. The first was Chimney Butte Ranch symbolized by Maltese Grass. The second was Elkhorn Ranch symbolized by horn and triangular symbols. NM, displaying Mint.
