Item Description
Unlisted in Hake. 1.25" has St. Louis Button Co backpaper. Reverse has hairline .25" cello split along the collet but causing no problem and laying almost perfectly flat. Front of the piece depicts a seated Teddy bear doll in pale olive green against black and cream background with text surrounding. There are three very light stain marks across the top edge of the button .75" long in total. The rest is totally clean and with nice gloss. Still displays VF. This is the same example of the button that appeared in Anderson Auction #158 where it realized in excess of $1,400. Also see, from the same era, Teddy Bear Bread stickpin #555.
