Item Description
Hake #3172. The celluloid is without dot pattern and features an incredibly sharp portrait. There are four or five tiny tan age dots on the right side which are in the development of the photo and very minor. The back of the piece has a black cardboard insert with two small metal segments designed to hold a wire easel but this piece is as issued attached to a rwb flag ribbon in turn jointed to a brass hanger with celluloid insert reading "Washington, D.C./March 4th 1905." Celluloid insert is slightly curled. The fabric ribbon has small tears at the top corners plus the center section is somewhat shredded with what seems to be a magic tape repair on the reverse. While the piece still displays well the fabric is obviously in delicate condition while the celluloid remains Exc.
