Item Description
4" tall with bronze bar pin inscribed "Delegate." Below is slightly dust soiled but fully intact rwb fabric ribbon joining to a pair of loops a 1.5" thick bronze luster medal. Lincoln is profiled at the center surrounded by a circular wreath and a circle of a flowing ribbon bearing the names of all Republican candidates and presidents from Fremont through Roosevelt. Outer edge is inscribed "Golden Jubilee Convention/National Republican League." Reverse of the piece depicts "Musical Fund Hall" building. Below the building text reads "Musical Fund Hall/Philadelphia, Pa. June 16-19/1906." The surrounding rim reads "1856/Meeting Place Of First/National Republican Convention/1906." The item commemorates the party's first national nominating convention, two years after the party's founding. The medal is NM displaying Mint.
