Auction #205 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1426 in auction 205
Item Description
2.25" tall embossed brass piece which seemingly pictures a life preserver which has brass rim at center holding glossy real photo of Roosevelt. There is a crown accent above and a rope accent below. Reverse of the piece has a hinged fold out brass easel and the German inscription "Gesl./Gesch." which is the equivalent of "Registered." Item was likely produced in Germany to commemorate his 1910 visit following his safari through Africa. Tiniest dust soil on the glossy photo but exceedingly minor and the piece displays beautifully with essentially Mint luster. Rare.
