Item Description
4x8.75x7.25" tall tin is c. 1920s. Tin is titled "Babies Bons" with additional text "The Best Creamy Toffees". Top, front and back have lid art of Bonzo walking up and then attacking box of toffees a child is holding. Side panels have art of Bonzo sitting up waiting to be handed toffee from child. Scattered wear with a few shallow dents. Lid is faded. VG. Tin itself is overall Fine. English game by Spears is titled "The Bonzo Chase" c. 1930s by creator George E. Studdy. 7.75x10.75x1.25" deep cardboard box has lid art of Bonzo with links of sausages being kicked in air by policeman. Contents include game board with images of Bonzo in activities with most involving sausages. Comes with wooden die, six colored wood playing pieces, container for die, and six numbered cards. Lid has wear around edges with split at lower left corner seam. Box is VG. Label and game board are Fine. Nicely designed pair. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
